Cynthia M. Webb, LISW-S
Mind/body work uses the wisdom of our bodies and minds to face our pain.
Are you struggling to cope with health, life, emotional, and physical stressors including chronic pain? You can begin to take control of your life, begin to manage the pain in your life.
My work is connecting mind and body, working with individuals to cope with health, life, emotional, and physical stressors including chronic pain through the use of hypnotherapy, mindfulness, breath work, and cognitive behavior therapies.
Hypnotherapy brings awareness from the sub-conscious to the conscious level, establishing a deeper understanding of behaviors that can lead to healing. Mindfulness and breath work allows us to get in touch with our body, learning how to effectively deal with life stressors, moving away from treating our body as a machine to finding how it can become our teacher. Through the integration of these practices, clients are able to reconnect to their bodies and take control of their lives.
MInd/body work is a personal journey, having lived for over 20 years with chronic back and neck pain. Like many, I have gone through surgery and taken pain killers as well as muscle relaxers but still found pain ruling my life. I decided to regain control of my body. As I began to make changes in my life through hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and breath work, I also began to hone my professional skills studying at The Beck Institute of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and training in hypnotherapy and other mind/body therapies through the Wellness Institute where I continue to study. This work has changed my life, professionally and personally.
